Kathryn Fellows is the owner and training director of "From Scamps to Scholars" Dog Training. She started training dogs in 1985 in Ohio, with her first "student" being her own German Shepherd who was extremely aggressive towards both dogs and people. She discovered that she had a gift for working with dogs, and although her Master's Degree is in music, she knew that helping dogs and their people was her true calling. She apprenticed with several trainers in the Midwest for several years, learning different techniques for a variety of doggie issues. In 1993, she moved to the East Valley, and under the encouragement of veterinarian Dr. Sheryl Roach, she started "From Scamps to Scholars". She has trained over 3,000 dogs, and has seen just about every people and dog problem imaginable. Kathryn is a member of the National Association of Pet Dog Trainers, and is certified to administer the Canine Good Citizen tests. She continues to stay current on new training techniques and information by attending national dog training seminars annually. She is a highly sought after clinician as well, giving dog training seminars across the country. |
